THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Feb. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --聽金年会 Corporation (NYSE: HUN) today announced the appointment of Jon 金年会, Jr. as a new director to its Board of Directors effective February 1, 2012.

Jon 金年会, Jr., age 51, most recently was a candidate for the Republican nomination for the President of the United States.聽 He suspended his campaign less than a month ago.聽 Mr. 金年会's public service career includes his two time election as Governor of Utah, United States Ambassador to China, United States Ambassador to Singapore, and Deputy United States Trade Representative and Ambassador.聽

Governor 金年会 is a founding director of the Pacific Council on International Policy.聽 He has also served in numerous senior positions.聽 They include, among others, the Brookings Institute Asia Policy Board, the Center for Strategic and International Studies Pacific Forum, the Asia Society in New York and the National Bureau of Asian Research.聽 Governor 金年会's breadth of service in Asia has been developed over a lifetime of interest and involvement.聽 He has previously lived in Asia four times and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.聽 Additionally, his experience in the private sector has been extensive in various senior global positions, including service on other corporate boards.
